Party Rankings, at vote.org.in, is an independent paid popularity contest for entertainment only. We are not related to, affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any political party or by the Election Commission of India. The parties named on the scoreboard do not run this site.
A payment here is not an official election vote and is not a donation to any political party. No prizes or money are given back.
What we store
- The party, the number of votes, the time, and the amount. This is what builds the public scoreboard.
- A display name, only if you type one. That name is shown in public on the scoreboard and is added up when the same name is used again. If you leave it blank, the vote is shown as Anonymous and is not combined with other unnamed votes.
- When a real payment provider is switched on, that provider processes the payment. We keep the provider’s order and payment references so a captured payment can be credited once. We do not store your full card or bank details.
- The network address of a payment attempt, kept only in memory for a short time, so one connection cannot send payments without limit. It is not saved on the vote record.
We do not ask for an email address, and we do not sell personal data.
Why
We use this information to show the ranking, to credit a payment that was actually captured, to limit repeated payment attempts, and to answer a support or removal request.
Who else sees it
The scoreboard, including a name you choose to type, is public. A payment provider sees what it needs to charge you. The company that hosts the site can see ordinary server logs. We share information with authorities when the law requires it.
How long
Vote records stay so the public ranking does not disappear. You can ask us to remove a name or other material. Payment references, once real payments are on, are kept for as long as tax and payment rules require.
Your requests
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete a name tied to votes on this site, or to withdraw permission to show that name. Write to support@vote.org.in. To ask for something to be taken down, write to remove@vote.org.in. We will handle the request as Indian law requires, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where it applies. Some records may have to stay where the law says so.
Age
This site is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect a child’s name.
